The convenient packaging and availability of TCM products makes portability and consumption easy. Now, younger consumers are turning to TCM to control their cholesterol levels, for health supplements, to lose weight and improve their looks. TCM brands have also been sponsoring sports teams and events. On-site TCM centres have sprouted at six public hospitals - Alexandra Hospital, Changi General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital (SGH), National University Hospital (NUH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital (AMKH).
The figures speak for themselves. Consumers in their 20s and 30s are jumping on the TCM bandwagon, buoying up the market which has already seen a surge in the recent year.
